See It in Action
“Be still and know that I am God.”
Psalm 46:10 (WEB)
In the rush of daily life, this verse invites us to pause — not just physically, but in our hearts. To 'be still' is to release the need to control, to solve, to worry. It is an invitation to trust that God is present even in the chaos, working in ways we cannot yet see.
Your Words, Your Practice
Your journal stays yours.
Reflections are deeply personal — we built Haven so they stay that way. Every entry you write is encrypted before it leaves your device and stored under your account alone. We don't read your journal. We don't sell it. We don't use it — ever — to train AI models, including the model that generates your daily reflection prompts. The AI sees the verse; it does not see you.
- End-to-end encryption on every journal entry.
- Your reflections never train the AI — not ours, not anyone else's.
- Export your entire journal as a file, anytime you want.
- Delete your account and all entries are erased within 30 days.
Common Questions
About AI reflections.
- How does the AI generate reflections?
- Each day's verse is sent to a language model with a careful prompt that asks for a brief, contemplative reflection — not a sermon, not advice. The reflection is generic by design; it doesn't know who you are.
- Will the AI read what I write?
- No. Your journal entries are not sent to the AI. The reflection you read is generated from the verse alone, not from anything in your journal.
- What model does Haven use?
- We use leading large language models from established providers, chosen for reflection quality and privacy guarantees. We change providers if a better option emerges.
- Can the reflection be wrong?
- AI can produce imperfect text. We review patterns and adjust the prompts when we see drift. If a reflection misses the mark, you can flag it; ultimately, your own response to the verse matters more than the AI's.
- Can I turn off AI reflections?
- Yes. You can hide them entirely in settings and use Haven as a pure scripture + journal app — just the verse and your own thoughts.
