About Haven
A small, quiet app for daily Scripture and prayer
Haven is a gentle Catholic companion for a few minutes a day: the Gospel of the day, a verse and reflection, an evening examen, and a simple way to prepare for confession — at your own pace.
Who makes Haven
Haven is published by Limit Waste Sp. z o.o., a small software company in Kielce, Poland (ul. Wspólna 19, 25-003 Kielce). In the App Store and on Google Play it is distributed under the developer name SkyeSoftware — that is the same Haven. It is available on the App Store and Google Play. There are other apps called “Haven”; this site, try-haven.app, is the home of this one.

Where the content comes from
- Gospel of the day and liturgical calendar: the General Roman Calendar, built from the open-source romcal library and the Liturgical Calendar API, with the Gospel reference the lectionary assigns to each day. In Poland the app also shows the national calendar’s celebration. More about the Gospel of the day.
- Bible translations: one translation per app language — in English, the public-domain World English Bible. They are not the lectionary translations read at Mass, so the wording can differ.
- Daily reflections, prayers and audio: written with AI (Google Gemini) from the day’s Scripture, and read aloud with text-to-speech for the audio reflection.
- Evening examen and examination of conscience: written for Haven, following the traditional Ignatian examen and the Ten Commandments and precepts of the Church.
What AI in Haven is — and isn’t
Haven uses AI to write daily reflections and to let you ask questions about a passage. It is a tool for thinking and praying with Scripture. It is not a priest, a confessor, a spiritual director, a therapist, or an authority on Church teaching, and it can be wrong. For those, please talk to a priest or someone you trust.
Free accounts can send a few AI messages a day; Premium removes the daily limit for normal use.
What happens to your personal notes
- Evening examen: nothing you pray is saved. The app remembers, on your phone only, which evenings you prayed it.
- Examination of conscience: what you mark is never saved or sent anywhere. It disappears when you close the guide.
- Intentions, journal notes and AI conversations: stored on our servers under your account so you can return to them, and sent over encrypted (HTTPS) connections. AI conversations are processed by Google Gemini to produce replies. None of it is sold or used to train AI, and you can delete it at any time.
- Analytics: the app uses analytics and crash reporting to see which features are used and to fix bugs.
