Spiritual Journey
Never Forget You
A gentle journey through the Scriptures that honor old age — for grandparents, for the elderly, and for everyone who loves them.
Scriptures for a Whole Life
Let these passages speak the thing the elderly most need to hear: you are not forgotten.
““‘You shall rise up before the gray head and honor the face of the elderly; and you shall fear your God. I am Yahweh.”
Leviticus 19:32

Job 12:12
“Don’t reject me in my old age.”

“having been reminded of the sincere faith that is in you, which lived first in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice and, I am persuaded, in you also.”

The Journey of a Whole Life
In Haven, this journey is a guided multi-day experience on aging, memory, and the long faithfulness of God — built for grandparents, for those caring for older parents, and for anyone feeling the loneliness that can come with age. Each day pairs a passage with a short reflection and a gentle prompt. It is unhurried on purpose.
Inside the Journey
What a day on this journey looks like.
Each day lasts about ten minutes — one passage, a short reflection, and a single prompt. There is no pace to keep up with; a slow read is enough. The journey moves from the fear of being forgotten, to the promise that God sustains us into old age, to the quiet fruit the elderly still bear — memory, faith handed on, prayer for those who come after.
- Day 1–2: the fear — “do not cast me away when I am old.”
- Day 3–5: the promise — God who sustains us to gray hairs.
- Day 6+: the fruit — faith handed down, prayer for the young.
- Each session: one passage, one reflection, one prompt — ten quiet minutes.
Common Questions
About this journey.
- Who is this journey for?
- For grandparents and older people themselves, and just as much for those who love them — anyone caring for aging parents, or wanting to honor a grandparent. It is easy to pray alongside someone, even over the phone.
- Do I need to be religious to find it meaningful?
- No. The verses come from the Bible, but the themes — memory, dignity in age, not being forgotten — are universal. Many find the words consoling even if the source is new to them.
- Is it tied to the World Day for Grandparents?
- It fits that day — the fourth Sunday of July — beautifully, but it is written for any time of year. Aging and remembrance are not seasonal.
- How long is the journey?
- The full journey is a set of short daily sessions you take at your own pace. Most people finish in two to three weeks, and many return to it.
- Can I share it with a grandparent who isn’t on the app?
- Yes. Each day is short enough to read aloud over a phone call or write out on a card. Many people use it as a reason to call.
